Deirdre M.I. McKenna
After finishing law school, Deirdre clerked at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto from 1999 to 2000. During law school, she worked as a student caseworker and group leader for Downtown Legal Services, University of Toronto, faculty of law from 1996 to 1999. There she supervised student volunteers on criminal and civil files and represented students for academic offences and appeals. In her third year of law school, Deirdre was a teaching assistant at Woodsworth College for the Criminal Law and Procedure course. Deirdre has also worked as a summer student at a Lethbridge law firm in 1997. For this firm she conducted legal research for criminal and family law and prosecuted in traffic court.
