Members of our Electricity Practice Group have played a significant role in the restructuring of the electrical industry in Alberta - the first province in Canada to embark on deregulation of the industry. Our lawyers have also figured prominently in the restructuring of the Ontario electricity market.We have been involved in numerous Canadian and international electrical and cogeneration projects of various sizes, from the grass roots formulation and structuring of projects to the financing, development, acquisition and disposition of such projects or interests in them.

Represented Cable Companies Regarding Electricity Distribution Rate Design
Represented an association of cable distribution companies before the Ontario Energy Board in connection with the Cost Allocation Review to address certain aspects of electricity distribution rate design and the manner in which costs should be allocated to different classes of electricity customers.
