Scope of our practice

Our private equity practice pools the resources and expertise of over 50 lawyers working in the fields of corporate finance (advising either equity investors, management teams, targets or financial advisers), and banking (advising senior and mezzanine debt arrangers).

As its participants become increasingly institutionalised, private equity continues to be an important asset class that enables managers to control their investments. Understanding the investment risks, structuring the transaction and planning the exit are all areas where the right legal advice makes all the difference. Equally, understanding the regulatory framework, for example the impact of recent German tax reforms, is critical. We are experienced in structuring private equity funds, advising on the investments themselves, and providing a cradle-to-grave service from investment to exit, including advising on and after the IPO where required.
