Michael I. Wylie
As a member of the Banking Group, Mike represents lenders and borrowers in banking and financial transactions. He has a strong background for dealing with matters involving personal property security, and experience in a range of commercial matters. Mike also provides advice on matters relating to educational institutions, particularly in the post-secondary sector; he brings practical experience to his work in this area.
Prior to joining Macleod Dixon, Mike practised law in Lethbridge for six years and was a faculty member at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law for 15 years. He was Dean of Law at the University of Calgary for five years. Teaching subjects included secured transactions, business associations, securities, advanced business transactions, interviewing, counselling and negotiating and legal process. Mike has written articles and made numerous presentations in these areas as well.
