KayLynn G. Litton
KayLynn regularly assists clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including acquisitions and divestitures, joint venture projects, financings, corporate reorganizations and general contractual matters. She also advises clients on a variety of energy-related issues relating to oil and gas leases, contested title issues, operational matters, rights of first refusal, royalties, gas marketing and storage arrangements, midstream projects, electricity agreements and reclamation projects. In addition, KayLynn provides assistance to clients relating to international operations and assets in countries including Mexico, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago.
KayLynn has researched such diverse issues as forest management in Canada, the effectiveness of assignment and novation clauses in the Canadian oil and gas industry and regulatory jurisdiction over pipelines in Canada, and has written papers on Aboriginal consultation, gross royalty trust agreements and public participation in the regulatory process. KayLynn regularly teaches a course on rights of first refusal for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Land Administration.
KayLynn became a partner of the firm in 2004.
