Kent D. Kufeldt
Practising primarily in the area of corporate and securities law, Kent has represented public issuers including corporations, limited partnerships and income and royalty trusts in both public and private financing matters as well as in reorganization transactions. As well, Kent has acted for underwriting syndicates in connection with public offerings and private placement financings. Kent also has significant experience with merger, acquisition and reorganization transactions acting for both acquiring companies and target companies in respect of hostile takeovers and negotiated acquisitions.
Kent also has significant experience in the oil sands sector having been involved in public and private debt and equity financings, initial public offerings and cross border financing transactions for this very active sector of the oil and gas industry.
Kent is the chair of the firm's Securities practice group.
