Kevin E. Barr
Kevin practices primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. His civil litigation practice is principally in the tort/liability defence and insurance areas. He has considerable experience handling complex tort and products liability claims.
The commercial litigation aspect of Kevin's practice is concentrated in the areas of insolvency, restructuring and secured/unsecured transactions. He regularly advises debtors and creditors with respect to their rights under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, Personal Property Security Act and Civil Enforcement Act. He has provided written opinions with respect to the enforceability of security instruments as well as fraudulent preferences and transactions.
Kevin joined Macleod Dixon as an articling student in 1999, became an associate in 2000, and made partner in 2007.
