Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition - March 27th to April 2nd

Washington D.C., U.S.A. - April, 2006

Coached by Caracas Associates Ricardo Chirinos, Carlos Hurtado and Juan Andrés Olavarría, the Venezuelan Jessup team representing Universidad Católica Andrés Bello finished second in the world, among 600+ law schools, at the 2006 edition of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, held in Washington D.C. from March 27 to April 2, 2006. The competition is organized in Venezuela by the Philip C. Jessup Foundation, presided by Elisabeth Eljuri, who administers and organizes the Competition in this country since 1997.  Our Caracas office has nine ex-Jessups among its lawyers.  The Venezuelan Jessup is sponsored every year by, among others, Macleod Dixon-Caracas, ExxonMobil, Chevron and others.  This year, among many donors, we had a personal donation from our partner Gabriela Rachadell de Delgado.
