Richard Oliver
Richard is an associate in the litigation department, practising primarily in the areas of commercial and construction litigation. He appears regularly before judges and masters in the Superior Court of Justice, and has attended discoveries, mediations, and arbitrations.
While earning his LL.B. at Queen's University, Richard was an avid member of numerous organizations, including Queen’s Legal Aid, Queen’s Pro Bono, Queen’s Oxfam and the Queen’s Law Rugby Football Club. Richard has authored or co-authored numerous legal articles in the litigation and construction fields, including a cover story for the HR Reporter.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Richard held numerous jobs ranging from planting trees, to working in a gold mine, to refinishing wood boats. Richard has traveled extensively through Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Central America, and Europe.
