Anthony P. Kramreither
Tony practices in the area of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He acts for both private and public corporations in a variety of industries including technology, energy, media, automotive, industrial manufacturing and telecommunications. Tony has been involved in a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions of private and public companies, share and asset purchases and divestitures, public offerings of debt and equity, financings and corporate reorganizations.
In particular, Tony represents several foreign enterprises in their acquisition and strategic investment activities in Canada. These cross-border representations frequently involve joint ventures transactions, debt and equity financing arrangements with venture capitalists, and related general corporate matters (such as technology licensing, product distribution, stock options and shareholder agreements).
Prior to practicing in the law firm atmosphere, Tony was a partner of Ernst & Young's legal firm - Donahue LLP - where he acquired extensive expertise through his involvement with structuring and implementing numerous tax reorganizations, cross-border financings and restructurings for multinational clients. Today he utilizes his experience for his clients resulting in significant tax savings and benefits for them.
Tony also acts as a director for several of his corporate clients, including Canadian subsidiaries of U.S. public companies.
