Chrysten E. Perry
Practising corporate and commercial law, Chrysten focuses on energy-related projects and transactions, including property and share acquisitions and divestitures, project financings, mid-stream asset projects, CO2 projects, coal bed methane matters, pipeline and facility development projects, negotiations of joint venture transactions and other energy industry related matters. Chrysten is heavily involved in the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline Project, one of the largest Canadian pipeline developments.
Chrysten has also represented many Canadian corporations on operational, gas marketing, environmental and regulatory matters. Her advice is frequently sought in connection with the strategic/business law aspects of oil and gas projects. She has also advised clients with respect to international operations in jurisdictions such as Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Cyprus and conducted the divestiture activities for clients with assets in these jurisdictions. She also has considerable experience with the Competition Bureau in the areas of pre-merger notifications and approvals. Chrysten has been recognized by LEXPERT as one of the “15 Women To Watch” in the Canadian legal field.
Chrysten has been a partner with Macleod Dixon since 1998 and is the Practice Group Leader for the Energy Department. Prior to joining Macleod Dixon, Chrysten was senior counsel at a major oil and gas corporation.
