Ian A. Mondrow
Ian has worked in energy law and policy since being called to the Ontario bar in 1991.
Following his call, Ian practiced regulatory law for 12 years, appearing before the Ontario Energy Board and other regulatory bodies in Canada on various natural gas and electricity matters.
In 2002 Ian took the position of Vice-President, Government & Regulatory Affairs with a major integrated energy retail and solutions company, assuming responsibility for regulatory compliance, regulatory interventions and government relations. As part of the senior management team Ian provided strategic counsel to inform the company's business plans and initiatives in various Canadian jurisdictions.
In late 2006 Ian accepted the position of Special Advisor to the Chair of the Ontario Energy Board.
Ian joined Macleod Dixon in January 2008, in the energy regulatory practice group in Toronto. In addition to regulatory advocacy, Ian provides the firm's clients with strategic advice regarding regulatory structures and business opportunities in the natural gas and electricity sectors.
