James F. Maxwell
A member of the firm's litigation group, Jim conducts a general litigation practice which includes an emphasis on employment law, insurance defence, administrative law, and environmental and oil and gas matters.
Jim has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta. In administrative law, Jim has made submissions to a variety of tribunals, including Assessment Review Boards, the Municipal Government Board, the Human Rights Commission, the Workers' Compensation Board, and the Energy and Utilities Board.
Jim joined Macleod Dixon LLP in 1997. Prior to pursuing his law degree, Jim worked in the field of range management.

- Jim has extensive experience in municipal property taxation matters, and regularly acts in franchise matters.
