Vera G. Shaftan
Vera joined Macleod Dixon in August 2007 with a solid legal background having previously worked as in-house legal counsel for a Russian oil and gas company, a telecommunications company, and with a local law firm in Moscow.
In these roles, Vera was involved in a variety of projects and she increased her knowledge and expertise in a number of practice areas, in particular mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and energy and resources. More specifically, Vera’s expertise includes:
- Assisting in negotiating and advising on operating under production sharing agreements
- Consolidation of companies
- Sale and acquisition of oil and gas assets
- Providing general guidelines to regulations applicable to legal entities and their subsidiaries
