Victorino J. Tejera Pérez

Victorino received his law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1996. He received his master of laws in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Tulane Law School in 1999. He culminated his Master studies in Private International and Comparative Law and he is currently writing his thesis on "International Commercial Arbitration in Venezuela".

After working in other prestigious firms, in June 2000, Victorino joined Macleod Dixon as an associate. He concentrates in commercial law, conflict law and corporate matters. He focuses his practice in national and international litigation and arbitration and in Alternative Dispute Resolution in general. He has experience in the areas of Civil Law, Commercial Law and International Private Law.

Victorino has participated in several commercial arbitrations in Venezuela for both International and local clients including the area of investment arbitration. He has participated in several commercial matters trials and constitutional injuctions as well as other procedures of civil, bank, bankruptcy and labour matures. He has also participated in diverse negotiations of international agreements, reconstruction of credits and corporate restructuring.

He received special training in arbitration and mediation and has attended and participated as speaker in several seminars relating to arbitrations matters. He is currently a member of the List of the Caracas Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Centre (CACCC).
