Yerzhan Kumarov
Yerzhan joined the Kazakhstan practice of Macleod Dixon in early 2007 as partner. He has been practicing law since 1996 when he joined Macleod Dixon for the first time as an associate.
For the past ten years, Yerzhan has worked for major international law firms and has acquired extensive experience in advising and representing clients on a variety of complex legal and business issues in Kazakhstan. He has a wealth of experience in banking, project finance, securitization, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions and natural resources projects. He has represented numerous financial institutions on syndicated and project finance matters, and has acted on behalf of both issuers and underwriters involving Eurobond offerings. He has advised leading international banks, multilateral financial organizations, global investment banks, major corporations and credit rating agencies.
Yerzhan has an impressive track record in providing legal assistance to clients on such matters as debt restructuring, re-financing, anti-trust (anti-monopoly) and business combination issues, privatizations, general corporate matters, including advising strategic investors in joint ventures.
