Randal S. Van de Mosselaer
As a member of the firm’s litigation department, Randal practises in the areas of insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation. He has represented clients before all levels of the courts in both Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as in the Supreme Court of Canada.
Randal’s practice includes a broad range of insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation matters, including representing and advising secured and unsecured creditors as to their rights and remedies in bankruptcies and insolvencies, as well as representing and advising privately and court- appointed receivers and trustees in bankruptcy. Randal has also dealt with numerous fraudulent conveyance and preference claims, as well as mortgage foreclosure actions.
Randal has also represented clients on general litigation and employment related matters, including shareholders' disputes, real estate disputes, builders' lien claims, wrongful dismissal claims, landlord/tenant disputes and professional negligence claims.
After articling in Saskatoon and being admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1993, Randal clerked with Mr. Justice Major of the Supreme Court of Canada in 1994.

- Represented major Canadian bank in negotiating and enforcing the terms of a Forebearance Agreement by the appointment of a Receiver over the debtor oilfield services company
- Acted for Shareholders and Directors in dispute over control of a family owned and controlled oilfield waste disposal company, which dispute was resolved following a mediation
- Obtained an injunction on behalf of a commercial tenant preventing the landlord from terminating the lease and evicting the tenant
- Successfully represented two investors in an action against a major life insurance and investment company
- Acted for family members in dispute over ownership of a large amount of family ranch land which was resolved following a mediation
- Represented owner and purchaser of ranch land against allegations that they violated the Plaintiff's right of first refusal
- Represented the retailer of a 190,000 square foot pre-fabricated steel building which collapsed shortly after construction
- Represented a professional engineer who did work on a peat moss plant prior to a fire
- Represented a pipeline construction company that constructed a gas pipeline which subsequently ruptured
