Yanet C. Aguiar
Yanet graduated from law school, with special cum laude mention, at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1998 and got her Masters in Law from the University of Illinois in 2001. She obtained a Master in Business Law from the Universidad Francisco de Vittoria, in Madrid, Spain, in 2004. Presently, she is taking classes specializing in Labor Law at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
In June, 2004, Yanet began working at Macleod Dixon as an associate. She has oriented her legal practice toward the area of labour and labour litigation. She has experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements and labour conflicts, preparing employment agreements, labour relationship termination advice and negotiating and preparing settlement agreements.
She also has experience in due diligence reviews of employment law liabilities in corporate acquisitions, social security and industrial health and safety regulations advice, workers’ compensation and benefit plans, handling administrative labour proceedings before Labor Government Agencies, judicial claims against acts issued by Labour Government Agencies, labour constitutional injunctions, and corporate law.
